From January to August in 2021, a total of 39,269 new market entities were added in Sanya, including 22,055 newly registered enterprises and 17,214 individual industrial and commercial households, showing growths of 70.66 percent and 73.14 percent respectively year on year.

As of Aug 31, there were 195,969 market entities in the city, including 84,467 domestic-funded enterprises, 948 foreign-funded enterprises, 109,870 individual industrial and commercial households, and 684 specialized farmer cooperatives and their branches.
