On August 3, authorities from Haikou in Hainan Province and from Grodno in the Republic of Belarus held an online signing ceremony to become sister cities. Since the two cities signed a letter of intent for friendly relations in December 2019, they have deepened exchange and mutual support in fields such as industrial park construction and epidemic prevention & control. The two sides have paid special attention to promoting the strengthening of economic, trade, and commercial exchange , as well as advancing cooperation in humanities, arts, and tourism between the two places.
