Recently, Danzhou-Yangpu has been optimizing the shipping sector by improving the efficiency of related government services in the transportation sector. The complete rollout of shipping e-licenses is among the new conveniences for enterprises and the general public.

On the morning of September 8, an employee of Yangpu Longquan Shipping Co., Ltd. is applying for a domestic water transport operations license at the window on the third floor of the Yangpu Municipal Affairs Service Center. In just five short minutes, the application was filled out, tendered, and approved. “Compared to paper certificates—which can get wet, stained, or lost—e-licenses such as these are a godsend for people working in our industry,” said the applicant.

According to the information provided, all of the new e-licenses have the same validity as paper certificates, and the e-licenses newly available in Danzhou-Yangpu include: domestic and international “Water Transport Operation Licenses,” domestic and international “Commercial Ship Operations Certificates” and their proof of cancellation, “International Maritime Vessel Registration Certificates,” and “Domestic Commercial Ship Management Licenses.”

Visible via the local government’s service platform and mobile phone applet 海易办 (Haiyiban), the e-licenses are stamped with an electronic facsimile of either the "Hainan Provincial Port and Shipping Administration" or the "Yangpu Economic Development Zone Administrative Approval Service Bureau,” they can also be verified by scanning the QR code displayed on the certificate.
