Since the Yangpu Port Master Plan (2024-2035) was approved at the end of 2024, SDIC Yangpu Port Co., Ltd. has been focused on local industrial development trends, increasing investment, and improving port infrastructure. Preliminary work on the grain and oil terminal, such as surveying, planning, and design, has been completed, and shoreline approval procedures are currently being processed. Construction is set to begin sometime in the first half of this year.

The Hainan Free Trade Port's favorable policies have driven the rapid development of the grain and oil industry, with projects from enterprises like Ausca International Oils and Grains and Sinograin being successively implemented in the Danzhou-Yangpu Economic Circle. SDIC Yangpu Port is currently the only designated port for imported grain in Hainan Province. The firm is preparing to invest 1 billion yuan ($0.14 billion) in the public terminal to meet the production demands of grain and oil companies in the region.

Once completed, the terminal will be Hainan's only public grain and oil terminal capable of accommodating cargo ships with a displacement tonnage of up to 100,000 tons, reducing the logistics costs of grain and oil companies, promoting rapid industry development and injecting new vitality into the Hainan FTP.
