Hainan Provincial Museum，founded in 2008, is located in Haikou City. It is a national first-class museum.

The museum has more than 20 exhibition halls, of which the largest exhibition hall covers an area of 1200 square meters and the smallest exhibition hall covers an area of nearly 230 square meters.

As of 2019, the museum has 25,287 cultural relics in its collections, and collected 1,424 collections and auxiliary exhibits. The cultural relics involve ceramics, stone wares, metal wares, paintings, etc. Among them, the South China Sea cultural relics, Hainan's historical and ethnic folk customs, and overseas Chinese cultural relics are the most distinctive.

The museum is an important platform to showcase Hainan's humanities, history, and culture. It is also an excellent window for friends at home and abroad to learn about Hainan's long history and splendid culture.
