Haikou People's Hospital is a Grade A general hospital. Its predecessor was the Sino-French Clinic established in 1901 and renamed Haikou People's Hospital in 1953. In 2003, it became the Haikou Hospital affiliated to Xiangya Medical College of Central South University, and in 2016 became the cooperative hospital of Huashan Hospital affiliated to Fudan University.
