From July 14 to 15, the People's Government of Changjiang Li Autonomous County and a delegation from Pakistan’s University of Sargodha jointly held an investment promotion and matchmaking meeting in Hainan's Changjiang Li Autonomous County. In-depth exchanges were held on topics, such as business cooperation and development, educational cooperation, cultivation of talented individuals, and scientific innovation.

Per an introduction from Liang Ming, the county's chief executive, University of Sargodha has achieved fruitful results in science, engineering, and agriculture, and has become one of Pakistan’s top universities. With the delegation visiting Changjiang to inspect cutting-edge fields, such as nuclear safety, hi-tech tropical agriculture, and digital free trade port management, the meeting brings unlimited possibilities for cooperation between the two parties. As the two parties plan to build an international talent training platform, Changjiang is looking forward to attracting the high-quality educational resources of University of Sargodha.

Dr. Qaisar Abbas, the President of University of Sargodha said, “The Hainan Free Trade Port’s open policies and Changjiang's green development concepts are very exciting to us. We hope to combine our scientific research advantages with Changjiang's nuclear energy industry and tourism resources to jointly build an integrated industry-university-research platform that cultivates internationally competitive professionals.”

During the conference, the county government and the university signed a letter of intent for cooperation, and both parties agreed that on the basis of mutual respect, they would explore opportunities for synergistic development in education and culture, would promote talent exchange and knowledge sharing, and would work to accelerate the implementation of cooperation projects.

It is understood that, the delegation from University of Sargodha also visited the area of Qizi Bay Tourist Resort set aside for educational usage.
