Let's turn to the Hainan Free Trade Port in southern China. The island province will see travel peak during the first Spring Festival since it introduced special customs operations.

The Haikou General Station of Immigration Inspection says the flow of Chinese and foreign tourists travelling across borders, along with overseas Chinese returning for tourism and family reunions, will increase during the holiday.

Hainan's airports are expected to see a peak in both inbound and outbound travel.

During the Spring Festival holiday, running from February 15 to February 23, the number of inbound and outbound travellers is projected to reach nearly 80,000, a more than 24 percent year-on -year increase.
