In recent years, with the development of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and the Hainan Free Trade Port, the positioning of Yangpu Port has been even more important. Recently, the "Master Plan for Yangpu Port (2024-2035)" was jointly approved by the Ministry of Transport of China and the People's Government of Hainan Province. After the implementation of the plan, Yangpu Port's throughput is expected to reach 225 million tons and handle 12 million TEUs of containers by 2035.
