Recently, Ziguang Yaochen (Hainan) Intelligent Manufacturing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Chinese information and communications enterprise Unisplendour Corporation (000938.SZ), was registered and established in Haikou. The company boasts a registered capital of CNY 10 million and is indirectly wholly-owned by Unisplendour Corporation.

The business scope of Unisplendour's new Hainan venture covers high-end manufacturing sectors, including communications equipment, electronic components, and information security equipment manufacturing, as well as the wholesale of electronic components, the sale of cloud computing equipment, and other businesses.

Unisplendour Corporation's parent company, Tsinghua Unigroup, has previously developed other projects in Hainan, covering semiconductor chips, high-end manufacturing, and the digital economy.

In April 2025, the People's Government of Hainan Province signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with Tsinghua Unigroup to further deepen collaboration in the digital economy.

Four months later, on August 8, the Tsinghua Unigroup Hainan Industrial Base was officially inaugurated. The base undertakes the group headquarters' R&D, investment, and international exchange functions, and spearheads the development of the three major project clusters for the Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) in chip design, high-end manufacturing, and the digital economy.

In March 2026, construction kicked off on Tsinghua Unigroup's Hainan Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in the Haikou National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. One of the park's mandates is to build an integrated, comprehensive industrial innovation platform that integrates technological R&D, high-end manufacturing, and application demonstration. On day one, a number of ecological partners from key sectors, including intelligent industrial drone systems, new power systems and energy services, and core semiconductor equipment, settled in the park.

The establishment of an intelligent manufacturing company in Hainan by Unisplendour Corporation has been hailed by analysts as a major step toward expanding its manufacturing footprint beyond China. Going forward, the new subsidiary is expected to leverage its position to secure more overseas orders. As the parent group's Hainan industrial park projects advance, the new firm will likely achieve greater synergy with the group's internal assets and businesses.
