New Zealand’s leading property management company the Stonewood Group signed agreements in the areas of finance, energy, trade, education, and artificial intelligence with fourteen companies at the Oceania Center.
Stonewood Key China has been headquartered in Haikou’s Meilan since last July. This is the first intercontinental service platform to enter China since the Upgrade Protocol of the China-New Zealand Free Trade Agreement took effect in April 2022.
Stonewood Key Capital and Stonewood Key Management are the two companies registered in Hainan by Stonewood Key China. Focusing on new energy, environmental protection, and smart city development, they are working to create a Hainan-centered industrial and financial hub to facilitate cooperation between China and South Pacific countries in trade, industry, and investment.
Jointly opened by Stonewood Key Management and the government of Meilan District, the Oceania Center is expected to promote exchanges and deepen cooperation by leveraging the policy advantages of the Hainan Free Trade Port, which include the liberalization and facilitation of trade, investment, cross-border capital, personnel mobility, and transportation, as well as the safe, orderly flow of data.
