The Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone reported its situation to the joint inspection and acceptance group composed of the General Administration of Customs of China, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Finance of China, and Ministry of Natural Resources of China. The group inspected the basic and supervision facilities. After a comprehensive evaluation, the joint inspection group agreed to pass the acceptance of Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone.
He Bin, a staff member of Haikou Customs District P. R. China introduced that after the acceptance, Haikou Customs will organize related works on the closed management and operations of the Bonded Zone. It is set to fully support the Bonded Zone to build itself into a trial place for the import and export management policy system of the Hainan Free Trade Port, and gather experience for Customs’ independent operation.
Haikou Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone has a planned area of 0.44 square kilometers and is adjacent to Haikou Meilan International Airport, which has location and policy advantages. In the future, it aims to focus on the development of aircraft maintenance, bonded aviation material logistics, and other industries.
“Haikou Integrated Free Trade Zone and Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone have actively reserved a number of different types of industrial projects suitable to the processing value-added tax policy. Currently, 7 projects have been landed and 7 other projects have been reserved. The next step is expected to actively promote the first business of the processing value-added tax policy as soon as possible,” said Chen Shun, who is with Haikou Integrated Free Trade Zone.
