Hainan launches 6th Island Film Festival
The sixth Hainan Island International Film Festival kicked off on Friday at Phoenix Island in Sanya, Hainan province, accompanied by the melodious voices of Hainanese singer, Su Yunying and young actor Niu Junfeng. The event opened with a Hainan folk song Long Time No See, Long Time To See, showcasing the island's warm hospitality. -

Masterful Lineup Unveiled for the 6th HIIFF
On November 29, the star-studded trio of filmmakers set to deliver masterclasses at this year’s Hainan Island International Film Festival (HIIFF) was unveiled. French directors Sophie Marceau and Luc Besson, and Chinese cinematographer and producer Cao Yu will be sharing their filmmaking experiences and wisdom with audiences at the festival. -
HIIFF announces Golden Coconut Award jury
The 6th Hainan Island International Film Festival will take place from Dec. 4-10 in Sanya, Hainan. On Dec. 1, this year’s Golden Coconut Award jury was announced, and includes a total of thirteen domestic and international film professionals such as acclaimed French director Luc Besson.
