On February 28, 2013, the State Council approved the establishment of Hainan Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone. The pilot zone is located in Boao town, Qionghai City, Hainan Province, near the core area of Boao Forum for Asia. The area is about 20 square kilometers, and the beautiful Wanquan River is running across it. Adjacenting to Boao airport, high-speed railway and expressway makes the pilot zone is easy to access, and the star-level resort hotel cluster, local hot spring, natural heritage and cultural tourism spots such as Yudaitan, Dongyu Island and the permanent site of Boao Forum for Asia makes the pilot zone a charming place attracting people around the world.
