Asian Beach Games Sanya 2020 postponed to 2021
The 6th Asian Beach Games, originally slated for November 28 to December 6 this year in Sanya, China, has been postponed to April 2 to 10, 2021.
"In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Olympic Council of Asia, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Sanya Organizing Committee have reached a consensus on the postponement of the 6th Asian Beach Games," the Sanya Organizing Committee for the Asian Beach Games said in a statement.
The name of the Games "6th Asian Beach Games Sanya 2020" and the logo of the Games will remain unchanged.
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) recently announced that considering the current situation of the novel coronavirus epidemic, the 6th Asian Beach Games, originally scheduled to be held in Sanya, Hainan province from April 2 to 10, 2021, will be postponed.
