6th Asian Beach Games postponed
The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) recently announced that considering the current situation of the novel coronavirus epidemic, the 6th Asian Beach Games, originally scheduled to be held in Sanya, Hainan province from April 2 to 10, 2021, will be postponed.
The decision was made after a joint discussion between the OCA, the Chinese Olympic Committee and the Sanya Asian Beach Games Organizing Committee. It aims to protect the interests of participating Olympic committees to the utmost extent and ensure the safety and health of all relevant personnel including athletes.
The rescheduled date will be determined by the parties concerned later.
